Z. Working With Disabled Artists

Deaf and disabled people are getting more jobs in the arts. What do you know about working with disabled artists?

There is a high risk of access failures, disablist microaggressions, and an institutional lack of understanding about what working with d/Deaf and disabled people entails. Are you equipped to provide the support your colleagues need?

CRIPtic Arts has extensive experience training organisations and supporting deaf and disabled people in the arts, and working with disabled artists. We support organisations working with – or hoping to work with – deaf and disabled people. We can work with you to understand how to meet their access needs. CRIPtic can support you with everything from funding bids and Access to Work to training and staff development.

We offer 1:1 and team training sessions for organisations on how to work effectively with d/Deaf and disabled people in the arts, covering everything from funding streams to access riders.
